If you operate, or are planning to operate a financial services business in Australia, it is quite likely that you'll need to be licenced. The provision of financial services in Australia without an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) is an offence, and you may be subject to criminal penalties.

For more information on the need for an AFSL, visit www.holleynethercote.com.au which is a law firm practising in financial services (and other commercial matters), or www.compliance-training.com.au which is a compliance and training business specialising in compliance with financial services, including applying for AFSL's.

Kind regards,

Paul Derham
